"The choices made by Dobierska are personal and dictated by emotions. For the artist, each photo is an impulse to recreate recorded moments. Events captured on Polaroids recall moments in a selective, incomplete way. The awareness of passing time often forces us to return to memories in order to place ourselves in the right place here and now, in the context of the experiences we have encountered. After returning to the world captured in photographs, often only the sound, smell, or touch remains, and the images become blurred and undefined in a specific time", says the exhibition curator, Piotr Szpilski.
